ABSTRACT
Members of the Audubon Society in particular will be interested in the request of a Philippine foundation for help in establishing an aviary to house birds typical of the Philippine Islands under optimum conditions, using the latest scientific principles for creating a natural and harmonious environment for the birds. Appropriate measures to protect the environment do add appreciably to the cost of any business and any country that fails to set adequate standards in protecting the environment could obtain a short-term cost advantage in international competition. International Executive Service Corps (IESC), a nonprofit corporation, was formed by a group of distinguished business and professional leaders and was based on a few very simple and logical premises. Most thoughtful people would agree with these premises, and they form the basis of IESC, which was inaugurated in the Rose Garden of the White House in 1964.
