The Palm Sunday procession, from the Peterborough Abbey consuetudinal, as a source for topographical identification

This short paper provides a transcript and translation of the procedure and route of processions held in Peterborough Abbey on Palm Sunday, recorded in Lambeth Palace Library MS 198, one of two surviving late 14th-century consuetudinals for the abbey. Along with the liturgy (here abbreviated), the text provides valuable evidence regarding the topography of the precincts at that time.
