ABSTRACT

Entrepreneurship education ecosystems have become the most important and efficient mechanism of business community engagement and knowledge transfer to business, creating value to society and regional economy. This study provides a review of theoretical foundations of entrepreneurship education and recommends a toolbox for knowledge commercialization and engagement with entrepreneurial communities. University entrepreneurial commitments result in greater engagement with local entrepreneurial communities, co-curriculum educational development, new venture creation and academic spin-offs as the most visible forms of innovation and technology transfer.
