ABSTRACT
I admit a disability at the outset. I do not know Mr. Gandhi well; and his recent phase, and reports that come from India, fill me with disquiet. Fortunately, he has already done enough to be part of history, and in a series of autobiographical books of often startling frankness, has himself provided the materials for a study of his character and purposes.
