ABSTRACT

Managing adolescents, though widely considered to be an important issue to address, is yet to get a systematic method with a definite outcome that can be widely applied. This chapter aims at addressing this issue through yoga within educational institutions. As it is generally accepted that yoga brings balance to the body, mind and soul, this chapter examines a common approach to managing young Indian boys and girls based on the wisdom of the yogis of our nation. This approach will encourage further research in this area and is expected to open up an opportunity for developing a preventive curriculum and promoting behavioural health intervention through yoga.
