ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the pupils as learners and on learning. Demonstrating how learning theories can be applied by matching teachers to appropriate teaching strategies will hopefully inspire reader to develop their understanding further and experiment with new approaches. Therefore, the underpinning theories and teaching strategies that the reader deploy vary according to the specific abilities and individual needs of the pupils in their classes. This information provides a useful starting point for readers as teachers to help plan appropriate teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of individual pupils that they may encounter in their classes. How regularly do them build in time for pupils to fully reflect on their achievements at key points during the lesson.
