ABSTRACT

By means of libidinal co-excitation, patients transform cold nucleus into a hot nucleus. On the clinical level, the “hysterical solution”, as a cover for depression, is a typical example of traumas and of their transformations. The people can see, then, how, through the interplay of libidinal co-excitation, the symptom had been formed: the first stage consisted of an early trauma linked to the lack of maternal care giving rise to both internal excitation and a narcissistic wound. This is the cold trauma. The sense of “sexual unease” was the retroactive effect of the internal excitation caused by the lack of maternal care for, by avoiding the task of washing her daughter's sexual organs, the mother designated them negatively, as a locus of excitation: this is the hot trauma.
