ABSTRACT

At present, international schools around the world have invested a lot in physical learning spaces as they can be considered the core space for teaching and learning. Questions arise: Why is this space so crucial to how we teach and learn? How can we integrate the learning space into our pedagogy? What are the benefits of exploring learning spaces? This chapter discusses why, how, and what design thinking can do to enhance pedagogy in any school environment. It will focus on how leadership decisions can transform the learning spaces in dynamic spaces to promote inquiry and enhance student engagement.
