ABSTRACT

This chapter will bring to life the power and importance of one of the core principles of the Solution Focused approach, trusting the client. Through examples and amalgamated anecdotes of direct practice with anonymised children and young people from within an edge of care local authority service, this chapter will show the difference this principle can make. The chapter is filled to the brim with the brilliance and wonder of working with children and young people alongside the author’s staunch belief and trust in them and how that has benefitted his Solution Focused practice with a variety of children aged 5 to 17 in all manner of scenarios.
