ABSTRACT

Online branding and social media are more important than ever before. Further research suggests that social media will take over as the primary way of communication in the business and professional world (Cardon and Marshall, 2015). Due to the need to address audience in many forms, this chapter reviews best practices for social media posting, audience profile sheets, and eportfolios. These best practices offer educators tools, which will allow students to focus on the recipients of their messaging, in turn allowing them to create appropriate content to promote themselves correctly and professionally when seeking employment or internship placement.
