ABSTRACT

Parental alienation is a process that transcends cultures: nowadays, its presence has been identified in many different countries (Giancarlo & Rottmann, 2015). Although it is not restricted to situations of divorce, the phenomenon manifests itself more openly in these circumstances. In general, it is a global, multicultural issue where “parental conflict is at the forefront of separation, rather than the wellbeing of children” (Jaffe, Thakkar, & Piron, 2017).
