ABSTRACT
Expand assistance by utilising the economic cooperation of Japan. Strengthen cooperation between Japan and the Asian Development Bank. Reinforce the function of Japan International Cooperation Agency, and double the funding support for projects. The alignment cooperation between China and Japan under the Belt and Road framework has also gradually started. The Belt and Road Initiative stresses green development, that is, the concept of a green Belt and Road. Under the Belt and Road framework, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank was established to provide a mechanism and organisational condition for concrete alignment between both initiatives. With a combination of opportunity and challenge, China and Japan should strengthen alignment from various aspects. Start with unofficial cooperation to strengthen unofficial economic contact between China and Japan: since the outbreak of the Diayu Island event in 2012, the China–Japan relationship has cooled to further influence the economic intercourse of both sides.
