ABSTRACT
In October 2013, the neighbourhood diplomacy work conference was held in Beijing. At the meeting, President Xi Jinping emphasised that China is committed to pursuing partnership with its neighbours and neighbourhood diplomacy of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and fostering a harmonious, secure and prosperous neighbourhood. President Xi Jinping repeatedly emphasised the need to uphold the peripheral diplomatic concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness when he talked about Belt and Road Initiative, expressing the highest value of Chinese diplomacy. The Belt and Road Initiative covers many countries with different political and economic systems, cultures, languages and customs in different regions of the world. The implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative shows the concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and win–win cooperation. The Belt and Road Initiative is a sustainable development and cooperation framework under the banner of peace and development.
