ABSTRACT

Global value chain plays an ever-apparent dominant role in global economy. With the advent of a new round of technological and industrial revolution, the conventional value chain is confronted with the need for change, so a new global value chain is in process. The global value chain is the micro-foundation for the global value chain, so upgrading the value chain will undoubtedly affect the adjustment of the supply chain. As the global supply chain is an important guarantee for the smooth operation of the global value chain, in return, changes in the value chain will affect the supply chain. The global value chain changes from a manufacturing value chain to a string of innovations. Cross-border transfer and cooperation in technological innovations has become a significant development trend in the current economic globalisation, which further boosted the in-depth extension from a global value chain based on original manufacturing value chain to a global innovation chain.
