ABSTRACT
At the eve of the Belt and Road Summit Forum for International Cooperation, the 1st Ministerial Conference of Ancient Civilisations Forum was held in 2017. In the organisational structure of this forum, 8 countries were announced as the official initiating countries of the Ancient Civilisations Forum—Bolivia, China, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Italy and Peru. With an open identity, the member states of this forum will rotate as the rotating presiding country of its annual ministerial conference, and strengthen cooperation with relevant international institutions such as United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. As a founding member state and co-initialling country of this forum, China plays an important role in founding and operating such a new mechanism of international cultural and civilisation exchange. In the future, Greece continue to become an important communication bridge between China and the European Union, and act as an exchange hub among different civilisations to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative and promote its continuous deepening.
