ABSTRACT
The Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) Community Vision 2025 is an important document for promoting an integration of ASEAN. ASEAN wishes to establish a uniform, inclusive and flexible political security community by 2025, so as to improve the cooperation level of ASEAN in political and security fields, and ensure that ASEAN countries coexist peacefully and are in a just, democratic and harmonious environment with other countries. The ASEAN Community and the Belt and Road Initiative can realise a strategic alignment to a certain extent. In September 1997, the ASEAN Vision 2020 was issued by ASEAN, which draws a blueprint for the future development of ASEAN, proposes a concept of ASEAN Community and announces that ASEAN is devoted to establishing a world-oriented community with characteristics of peace, progress and prosperity and full of developing vitality. ASEAN will deepen its contact with other countries or regions, and make its collective contribution to the global peace, security and stability.
