Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries with the Belt and Road Initiative

Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) Countries means China’s cooperation with the above 16 countries. In 2012, China and 16 China–CEE countries jointly established a new cooperation platform, i.e. Cooperation between China and CEE Countries. The cooperation between China and CEE countries promotes a benign interaction and overall balanced development of the Belt and Road Initiative in the CEE region. The Belt and Road Initiative also creates many important opportunities for the cooperation between China and CEE countries. The economic and trade cooperation between China and CEE countries has expanded in scale and also deepened. The economic and trade cooperation between China and the CEE countries has not only strongly boosted the economic development of relevant countries, but also provided an effective channel for Chinese equipment, technologies, standards and service to go global.
