ABSTRACT

The panorama of Spanish lexicographic research is a varied and complex reality, difficult to describe due to the diversity of themes, countries and traditions. In order to get closer to this reality, we have collected as much information as possible about the research groups and lexicographic initiatives in the field of Spanish language. This gives us a clear idea of the preferred topics as well as of the situation of research, including the problems of financing lexicography projects. This perspective is strengthened by an analysis of the proposals presented in the latest scientific meetings on these topics, as well as in the most prestigious journals of the discipline.

The objective is to provide a global vision of how the most recent lexicographic research is being carried out and highlight the interests and challenges of Spanish lexicography, and of the strengths that, despite the difficulties, make this line of Research one of the most robust in the current linguistic landscape.
