ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces aspects of learning and teaching relevant to educators in nursing and professions allied to health and social care in the UK. The educational context constantly changes in response to policy, demography and care delivery, and that brings challenges to educating the workforce. This necessitates developing curricula that reflect these changes and identifies the implications for professional education, while maintaining academic rigour.
