ABSTRACT

It had been a long night.1 Tiwa had only managed to sleep for a few hours. It’d been like this for 5 months and 21 days, the time that had passed since she had taken out her loan. Yes, she was counting. Before this, she’d been sleeping for at least four hours per night, when she only had to contend with external noises – generators, local churches’ night vigils and grinding machines. The grinding machines, especially, gave her headaches. But now, she had anxieties in addition to the headaches.
