ABSTRACT

This study explores the views of children aged three to four years about their experiences of nursery in Jordan. The nursery was established by the Hashemite University, a well-known higher education institution in Jordan, on the university campus. We sought to encourage all people involved in that setting to hear children’s voices with love, respect, and seriousness. The study aimed to contribute to improving the nursery services and enhancing children’s learning and development by improving and enriching the experiences offered to them. In a context where voice work with children is quite novel, this study also contributed to building capacity for voice and spreading the culture of voice and listening among children, their parents, people working in early childhood settings in Jordan, and students specialised in early childhood education.
