ABSTRACT

This chapter is from Norway, written by an established researcher in the use of digital technologies by young children. The author has visited Japan several times, and even published a collection of poems that connect Japanese words to rich metaphors. In this commentary chapter, she summarizes the broader themes in the eight chapters of the volume and reflects on the lessons learnt and lessons to be learnt in the study of cyberbullying and young children. She begins her account with a short expose of her professional background and connection to this research theme, followed by some observations on the topics examined by the book’s authors. She concludes with some recommendations for future work in the area.
