ABSTRACT

Finishing work as a makeup artist on a production is never as simple as taking off the talent's makeup and prosthetics. In this chapter Christine Sciortino walks film and TV makeup artists through general wrap procedures on a production. In this industry, makeup artists can go from independent productions, to Hollywood film sets and network broadcasted TV. As different as they all are, so are their payment procedures. Sciortino explains how to get paid and credited for your work as an employee or independent contractor, as well as how to make your organizational skills during a job continue to work for the production even when you no longer do.
