ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the methodologies employed within the discipline of geography in order to study past, present and potential trends in the academic examination of the subject. It discusses spatio-temporal and statistical analyses, among other methods, and tries to define the idea of ‘geographical space’. The chapter examines the societal changes with the aid of new technologies and methods that may help to depict the society as a ‘whole of elements’ and also as geography.
