ABSTRACT
In searching for roots and approaches to population geography in Bangladesh, this chapter discusses the evolutionary process of the subject ‘population geography’ in the West and then traces its trends of teaching and research in Bangladesh. Finally, it elaborates the contemporary research interests, challenges and future directions of population geography.
