ABSTRACT
Chapter 10, “Understanding How to Assess Your School Counseling Program Using the ASCA National Model,” includes a discussion of program and school counselor performance assessments and data analysis techniques. Types of research, a summary of the MEASURE program, and specific types of assessment instruments are discussed in this chapter. Acquiring procedures for revealing best practices in counseling to document the contributions of the school counseling program to the academic mission of the school is paramount. Through these efforts, school counselors are better equipped to engage in direct activities that support student growth.
