ABSTRACT
Chapter 2, “Understanding the School Culture,” includes topics to facilitate your understanding of the school environment with explanations of the school culture and climate, federal and state initiatives, and responsibilities to stakeholders and other professionals. After you have had an opportunity to gain a basic appreciation for school-related concepts, your attention is then turned to a review of theories most frequently used by school counselors.
