ABSTRACT

This chapter is a collaborative piece of work between myself, Miranda (an occupational therapy educator), and Jordan (a graduate student). We present our reflection on engaging pre-registration, or entry-level, occupational therapy students in case-based teaching and problem-based learning; specifically, this occurred in the classroom and in practice placement settings with people who experience homelessness in the UK. In this chapter, we examine how these experiences support students to explore the dark side of occupation and consider engagement in these otherwise overlooked, often neglected, occupations.
