ABSTRACT
This case study is about a project that was undertaken with the aim of migrating the bank’s IT infrastructure from its premises to the cloud. The main reason for migrating the infrastructure to the cloud was to gain cloud benefits and to be able to access information from any location. The project was divided into three different phases. The first phase involved migrating a critical SQL database (size 1.7TB) to the cloud. The second phase entailed migrating 29 VMs to the cloud. The final phase of the project involved fine-tuning the infrastructure of the bank by showcasing the benefits of the cloud.
