ABSTRACT

This case study explores a project that was undertaken by two companies, MBI and the Artics that ended in partial failure. The main objectives of the project were to develop an autonomous car that the teams can demonstrate and teach attendees how to develop it themselves. However, no one was able to actually get a car up and running. Moreover, a misunderstanding happened between the two teams regarding the full functionality of the car. This is primarily because each team worked in a silo, and none was well aware of what was happening with the other. The case study examines the steps taken by both companies in order to prevent such failures in the future and improve on their collaboration process.
