ABSTRACT
This chapter seeks to compare the function of a slave driver to that of a Black male teacher. It investigates the reason(s) for the American educational system’s persistent interest in the recruitment of Black men in tandem with its inability to connect with and educate children of color, in particular, Black male youth. Findings are then made to identify white supremacy’s utilization of the Black male body to control the actions of other Black bodies.
