ABSTRACT

The Holocaust stands out as the most horrible mass murder in a century of mass murder. As we delineate its barbarism, its madness, its evil, we do so symbolically surrounded by the century's one hundred million other victims - Indonesians, Armenians, Poles, Russians, Kampucheans, Congolese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and others. They have all been targets of systematic and calculating efforts to use human ingenuity, organization and resources - to kill en masse.
