ABSTRACT
Maria came to me for private tutoring because she was in danger of not being promoted to the next grade, into the 10th grade, because of her bad marks in French. In addition, she was not very popular with her teachers and her classmates because she displayed some behavioral disorders, including some minor autistic tendencies. Her mother had told me that she had informed her daughter’s class teacher about these disorders, but the teacher was not taking this information into account. On the contrary, the mother had the impression that she had made her daughter’s situation worse by informing the teacher.
