ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to prepare students to practice medicine in the science-rich, highly structured, and systematized managed care environment of the future. It examines some of the best of the next generation of medical students to be physician-scientists who will advance the science of medicine. The chapter explores a process of medical education in which humanism and professionalism are identifiable, consistent, and prized products.
