The book discusses ethical challenges and limited generalizability while using qualitative research methods to study sensitive behaviors. It presents many layers of prison research, including the application of ethical principles. The book provides an overview of some fundamental methodological and ethical challenges confronting those doing social science research in Canada. It concludes with recommendations to promote Indigenous approaches and participatory research methods. The book explores issues relevant to conducting criminal justice research in Greece. It highlights a common but often overlooked problem of imposing Western sensibilities and expectations in non-Western settings. The book also provides a detailed analysis of Hinduphobia in not only the entertainment media in the West but also in mainstream news platforms, including when presenting news about crime and victimization. It presents an in-depth discussion on conducting ethical interviews with Muslim international and Muslim American students in the Trump era.
