ABSTRACT

If manufacturers are aware of a particular process in the office that is always late, produces poor quality work, has a long lead time, or generally need’s improvement, implement an office process kaizen. This is also a good method to implement if they have already begun an office department kaizen and have discovered that a particular process crosses departmental boundaries. Before manufacturers begin to implement office process kaizen, take a long hard look at their employees and the activities they are engaged in. Office process kaizen is used to map and improve a specific process that has been identified as needing improvement. If manufacturers cannot specifically determine which process to tackle, start with the inputting of an order, or utilize office department kaizen.
