ABSTRACT
This essay will be devoted principally to two themes. Firstly, I intend briefly to survey the literature devoted to the problem of the relationship between ideology and industrialization and, secondly, to attempt to relate themes which emerge from the survey to the developmental experience of Ghana. By way of fiat, I do not intend asking whether or not industrialization is a cause or a consequence of the emergence of particular ideological themes.
