ABSTRACT
The unsettling power of immaturity is the subject of Daniel Pratt’s article. Form and immaturity have long been understood as the two major terms in Gombrowicz’s work. Form has been discussed a good deal in the scholarship and by Gombrowicz himself, but what has been less discussed, and less understood, is immaturity. This essay re-examines the role of immaturity and Form in Gombrowicz’s work by reading Gombrowicz’ work through the perspective of Deleuze’s notion of affect.
