ABSTRACT

The projected massive growth of aviation sector across the globe by 2030 not only provides abundant opportunities to Next Generation Aviation Professionals (NGAPs), but also poses a few challenges with respect to managing and leading talent. While talent management practices and procedures have been established across the aviation sector for technical competencies, there has not been much effort to include entrepreneurial mindset development as part of the competency development of aviation professionals within the realm of non-technical aviation professionals. This chapter is an attempt to connect the different aspects of talent management and emphasize the significance of entrepreneurial mindset development among professionals, especially NGAPS, working on the business/management side of the industry.
