ABSTRACT
The health inequalities between people within prison and those living in the community have been identified in the first chapter, within this chapter healthcare provision within prison settings will be explored. This chapter will be divided into three elements, which will include the provision of healthcare from an international and national perspective incorporating both physical and mental health of prisoners, and the universal challenges of providing healthcare in the prison.
