ABSTRACT

The Color Wheel is a behavior management approach that provides students with a visual, color-coded guide to help students navigate various behavioral expectations across different instructional settings/periods during the school day. The wheel is divided into different colored sections, with each color corresponding to a different set of behavioral guidelines. In the classroom, teachers use a cue (e.g., arrow on the wheel) to let students know what behavior is appropriate at any given time. An applied example of use of the Color Wheel to develop appropriate classroom behavior in elementary students is provided.
