ABSTRACT
This chapter anchors Part III by surveying design and methods issues related to the study of populism. The discussion is directed not only to those who plan to engage in doing research on populism themselves, but also to readers who are interested in tools for critical evaluation of research. The chapter examines research design and methods that may come up in considering what does one study when one studies populism, how does one study populism, and why does one study populism.
