ABSTRACT

Queer people know that the church has condemned queer life as worldly. Queer ecclesiology proposes that the world has a particular grace from God that the church does not, and therefore the church needs the world’s help to become the church. To queer church, as Rosenau explains, is to see the world as the Good Samaritan, offering grace to a church that is lying bleeding on the road. Being undone by queer life, the church is now poised to learn from the practices of queer Christians. Queer Christians act as a leaven, helping the whole church.
