ABSTRACT
This chapter on Polish literary translingualism provides a comprehensive overview of the major historical periods from the Renaissance to the twenty-first century of Polish authors writing in L2. It presents clusters of writers according to a particular language(s) of their artistic expression and/or translingual scene within the Polish context. The chapter offers a discussion of some concepts and strategies employed by the writers. While the chapter focuses on the genres of prose, poetry, and drama are mentioned in individual cases. The selected L2 languages include Latin, French, Russian, German, Yiddish, Hebrew, and English with reference to multilingualism and (self)translation when relevant.
