ABSTRACT
Clinical decision-making and effective history taking are imperative for safe prescribing. This chapter therefore covers the process and content of consultation with patients and some of the theoretical models of consultation which provide a framework for this. It discusses the process of history taking and the important aspect of clinical decision-making.
