ABSTRACT
The concept of underdevelopment has also to do with the distribution of power between actors, not on the micro, but at the macro levels. Of all the feminist perspectives used by feminist researchers to analyze social phenomena, the radical perspective is the most fundamental. The concept of patriarchy can be used to explain the domination of women by men almost everywhere. Used together with the concept of relative male dominance, it also adds to our understanding of how the oppression works and how women themselves cooperate in it. The relationship of dominance and subordination is kept through mutual agreement In a way, one can say that women collaborate with men in their own oppression. Underdevelopment has to do with a relationship of oppression, a relationship where the ruling elites have the power to decide who is underdeveloped and to decide on the criteria for underdevelopment.
