ABSTRACT
The People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN), formerly the armed forces of North Vietnam and now, in effect, for all Indochina, is the third largest armed force in the world, outnumbered only by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China and the Armed Forces of the USSR.
