ABSTRACT
If one wants to detect breaks and changes in the organization, value orientation, and political day-to-day routine of the political parties, it is first of all necessary to look for elements of continuity. For Austria it is true that despite all the changes in the party system, which will be described in greater detail, the indicators of stability are in any case quite remarkable.
