ABSTRACT
The Communist Party and the Soviet government, in implementing the resolution of the task of reorienting military affairs, as before, give great attention to the question of military theory. Soviet military science believes that war against the socialist countries, if the imperialists unleash it, will be a world war, a war of two coalitions into which will be drawn the main countries of the world. The revolution in military affairs began directly in the sphere of strategy and also spread to other branches of military art. In the past, decisive changes in military art and in the methods of waging war brought about by changes in military equipment first sprang up in the course of combat actions, in tactics and then in strategy. The methods and forms of conducting military actions are distinguished by great variety. The nuclear rocket weapon emerged as a means of strategy after which changes followed in operational art and tactics.
