U.S. Economic Growth and the National Saving Rate

I believe that we are at the beginning of a new era of thinking about the relationship of government and politics to the economy. Attitudes about economic growth and economic equity in society are changing. Many who used to see achieving “fairness” as the goal of government economic policy now recognize that stimulating economic growth is inextricably linked to this goal.
